About /
The project seeks to integrate the distinct characteristics of two vibrant Columbus districts—Victorian Village and the Short North—into a cohesive and innovative development. Victorian Village, known for its single-family homes, and the Short North, celebrated for its urban amenities and mixed uses, will be harmoniously combined on a unique, flag-shaped site featuring a historic IBEW building.
This development mirrors the neighborhoods with two distinct typologies: a sturdy concrete podium at the base, drawing from the Short North’s urban fabric, and a playful wood-framed multifamily structure, reflecting Victorian Village’s vernacular, stepping westward to create inviting communal spaces. Green elements will soften hard edges, provide shade, and attenuate sound.
This new housing development represents a unique opportunity at the junction of Victorian Village and the Short North. It aims to integrate stylistic and programmatic elements from both areas, setting a new benchmark for healthy urban living. The project will add rental units to a predominantly affluent area, providing access to alternative transit, Columbus’ retail center, and a major nightlife hub.
