About /

Gravity, at 500 West Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio, is a 6 story mixed use development on the north side of W. Broad Street at the corner of May Avenue in Columbus, OH.

With 40,000 square feet of office space, 250 residential units, as well as varied retail and site amenities, the project aims to be a catalyst in the urban arts district that attracts a creative class to a burgeoning neighborhood.

The project seeks to capitalize on high site visibility and accessibility as well as proximity to downtown, to create a primary gateway into Franklinton. In addition to new amenities and provisions for site tenants, 500 West Broad will create a vibrant platform for the community and city through art, food, and unique experiences.

Contextually, the site provides a 4 level parking structure accessible from May Avenue, while putting office and residential buildings at Broad Street, each with ground level retail or amenity. Building faces provide contextual frontage and street presence while providing ‘pockets’ and ‘courtyards’ into the project that can serve as extensions of the retail, restaurant and site amenities. Architecturally, the project creates distinct ‘pods’ that are connected internally, but create a varied experience around the project. Materially, the project celebrates the diversity of the neighborhood through rich and textured materials, distinctly emblematic to each pod, while drawing upon the palette of the neighborhood.
